Israel doesn’t need Reid’s friendship

I could not have been more surprised when I saw Elliot Karp’s praise for Sen. Harry Reid’s history of support and friendship with Israel in the Las Vegas Review-Journal. I can only assume that Mr. Karp is unaware of the current chaos in the Middle East and the shambles in the U.S.-Israel relationship. And of the ongoing tilt by President Barack Obama toward Iran. Had Mr. Karp recently looked at the Times of Israel he might have seen the statement by a senior Iranian Revolutionary Guard commander who said erasing Israel off the map is “nonnegotiable.” Yet, this administration continues to negotiate with Iran.

As President Obama went about isolating Israel, inflaming her enemies and trashing our own Constitution, he had one major enabler and accomplice: Reid. I just don’t think Israel can survive many more friends like Harry Reid.
