A 64-year-old inmate at the Northern Nevada Correctional Center in Carson City died Friday, the Nevada Department of Corrections said today.
Since Oct. 7, 2011, Charles McCorkle of Washoe County had been serving a consecutive sentence of 48 to 120 months for possession of a stolen vehicle, as well a consecutive sentence of 24 to 60 months for battery causing substantial harm, before he died at the correctional center's Regional Medical Facility, the department said.
An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death, the department said.
