Man killed in shooting at apartment complex in downtown Las Vegas

Metro Police are investigating a shooting in a downtown apartment complex Friday night that left one man dead.

At 8:31 p.m., officers responded to an apartment in the 200 block of South Sixth Street, near Las Vegas Boulevard South, to investigate a report of possible shots fired, police said.

Officers arrived to find a deceased man with multiple apparent gunshot wounds.

An investigation revealed that a verbal argument took place in the apartment before the possible gunshots were fired, police said.

Two men were seen leaving the area on foot, but there are no further details about them, police said.

This is the 27th homicide investigated by Metro Police this year.
