The southbound lanes of U.S. 95 near Rainbow Boulevard have reopened this afternoon after a man jumped from the carpool-lane flyover ramp from Summerlin Parkway to U.S. 95 on Saturday morning, Metro Police said.

The incident occurred at 8:59 a.m., Lt. Jeff Goodwin said.

Details about the victim, such as his age, were not immediately available.

Lanes were closed for several hours, and drivers were advised to take surface streets while the scene was investigated, Goodwin said.
