“Piece of crap” — that’s what former Mayor Oscar Goodman called Stavros Anthony after Goodman’s wife won re-election. Come on now. Mr. Anthony is a retired Metro captain and holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. In all my years, I’ve never heard a defeated opponent called that in public (maybe in back rooms). This coming from a distinguished attorney who must’ve let his East Coast bluntness get the better of him. If I were Mr. Anthony, I would demand an apology, but maybe that doesn’t hold true in the political arena.
