Regarding the letter “Why is Obamacare now OK for Cruz?” (Las Vegas Sun, April 5):
Once Ted Cruz’s wife left her job to join her husband on the presidential campaign trail and had to give up her health insurance (that Ted Cruz was on), Cruz had to find health insurance for himself and his family. A clause written by Republicans in the Affordable Care Act dictates that members of Congress needing health insurance once this law was enacted had to take Obamacare.
I doubt Ted Cruz wanted to take this option, but he did what most political leaders don’t: He obeyed the law.
