Los Angeles Kings player Jarret Stoll was arrested on a charge of possession of cocaine Friday afternoon at Wet Republic Ultra Pool at MGM Grand, Metro Police said.

Stoll, who is dating sports journalist and "Dancing with the Stars" co-host Erin Andrews, was arrested about 4:50 p.m. and booked into the Clark County Detention Center, according to Metro and jail records. Stoll also was engaged to actress and model Rachel Hunter, singer Rod Stewart's former wife.

Stoll was released on $5,000 bond from the Clark County Detention Center on Friday night.

Stoll's attorney, David Chesnoff, urged "everyone not to prejudge the circumstances" surrounding Stoll's arrest.

"We're looking forward to assisting a fine athlete and gentleman," Chesnoff said. "We plan to investigate the allegations fully. We'll be able to comment more at a later date."

Stoll is expected to appear in a Las Vegas courtroom within several weeks. Police did not respond to requests for further details Saturday.

The 32-year-old Stoll is an unrestricted free agent after struggling this season. He had six goals and 11 assists in 73 games, his seventh with Los Angeles after five with Edmonton.

"We are aware of police reports out of Clark County, Nevada, regarding Jarret Stoll," the Kings said in a statement. "Our organization is concerned and has begun conducting a thorough internal investigation. While we continue to actively gather facts, we are withholding further comment at this time."

The Kings ended their season Saturday with a 4-1 win against the San Jose Sharks, but they fell short of the postseason.
