North Las Vegas Police say they are searching for a pickup truck after two people drove by earlier this month and the passenger fired multiple shots into a police station.
The shots were fired about 2:25 a.m. April 11 into the northwest area station at 3705 West Washburn Road, police said. Nobody was injured.
Windows and a wall were damaged, and at least one bullet came through a window, Officer Aaron Patty said. The shots were fired by the passenger, he said.
The suspect vehicle fled the scene south on Allen Lane from Washburn Road, police said.
There was no apparent motive for the shooting, and investigators are looking into details surrounding the incident, police said.
The vehicle was described as a white, extended-cab, dually truck — possibly a GMC Sierra or Chevrolet Silverado — with flared rear wheel wells and no tailgate.
Police waited more than a week to release information about the shooting while detectives tried to find those responsible, Sgt. Chrissie Coon said. Now, investigators hope someone heard someone talking about it.
"Someone may remember someone who was angry with police and drives that kind of vehicle," Coon said.
Anyone with additional information is urged to call North Las Vegas Police at 702-633-9111 or to remain anonymous, Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
