Motorcyclist critically injured in crash on Sahara Avenue

A Las Vegas man was critically injured in a crash involving a minivan and a motorcycle Friday evening, according to Metro Police.

Also according to police:

Bryant Howski was riding a 2002 Kawasaki ZX-6R east on Sahara Avenue near Richfield Boulevard as Goldie Carter, 30, tried to made a left turn in a 2005 blue Kia Sedona from a driveway across the eastbound lanes of Sahara. Howski tried to avoid hitting the Kia, but his motorcycle struck the left side of the minivan. He was thrown to the road, suffering critical injuries, and was taken to UMC Trauma.

Alcohol is not thought to have played a role in the crash, which remains under investigation.
