Toddler’s death in Las Vegas apartment hot tub probed as drowning

Authorities are investigating the death of a 2-year-old boy pulled from a hot tub at a northwest Las Vegas apartment complex as a possible drowning.

The Clark County coroner on Tuesday identified the child as Israel Hall, and said the cause of death is yet to be determined.

Metro Police were called about 4:15 p.m. to the Tivoli Apartments, located at 4650 North Rainbow Blvd., near Lone Mountain Road, about a possible child drowning, Officer Larry Hadfield said.

Authorities said a family member initially found the boy and pulled him from the water after he had been playing unsupervised.

He was pronounced dead at nearby MountainView Hospital.

Police said the death is the sixth child drowning investigated in 2015.
