A 46-year-old Las Vegas woman was killed early today when the Ford Mustang she was driving sped through an intersection on Russell Road, went airborne and slammed into a block wall, according to Metro Police.

A homeowner also suffered minor injuries when fragments from the wall hit a residence, police said.

The crash happened about about 2:40 a.m. west of the intersection of Russell and Grand Canyon Road. The Mustang was speeding when the driver lost control, hitting two lamp posts, a control box, the wall and a utility pole, police said.

The Clark County Coroner's Office identified the driver as Angela Bair. The crash is under investigation.
