Police: Two men died in apparent murder-suicide in western valley

Two men found with gunshot wounds at a west valley apartment complex Monday night were relatives who died in an apparent murder-suicide, according to Metro Police.

Officers were called about 6:50 p.m. to 725 Hualapai Way, near Charleston Boulevard, where someone reported hearing gunshots, according to police.

Police say one of the men had just arrived at the location when the other man shot him multiple times.

The suspect, believed to have arrived in Las Vegas from Arizona, then shot himself and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

The victim was taken to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The identities and official causes of death of both men will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.

The motive behind the apparent murder-suicide is not yet known, police said.
