Metro Police have arrested the 36-year-old son of a woman who was found choked to death last week at her southeast valley apartment.
Records showed Tuesday that David John Dinunzio was being held without bail at the Clark County jail in Las Vegas pending an initial court appearance in the death of 62-year-old Francine Dinunzio.
It wasn't immediately clear if he had a lawyer.
Authorities say David Dinunzio lived with his mother on-and-off, and that she had at least one prior restraining order against him.
The Clark County coroner says Francine Dinunzio was strangled before her body was found Thursday at an address off Bermuda Road near Serene Avenue.
A police report says David Dinunzio was found Monday at a casino near Paradise Road and Flamingo Road.
