Updated Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2015 | 3:09 p.m.

Authorities have determined a suspicious bag reported outside a Henderson Babies R Us store was trash, according to Henderson Police.

Officers were dispatched about 11:30 a.m. to investigate a report of the bag outside the business at 510 N. Stephanie St., near Warm Springs Road, Henderson Police spokeswoman Kathleen Richards said.

The Babies R Us and other businesses in the area were evacuated, she said.

The Metro Police Armor Unit and Las Vegas Fire & Rescue’s bomb squad were called to the scene, and by 3 p.m., they determined the item was not dangerous, she said.
