A North Las Vegas middle school teacher's aide made sexual comments toward a student at the school, taking the teen to his apartment after the boy graduated and exchanging nude photos with him, according to police.

Charles Darville Young, a 29-year-old aide who works with special needs children at Marvin M. Sedway Middle School, was booked Friday into the Las Vegas City Jail on one count of luring a minor with a computer for sex acts and one count of open and gross lewdness, according to North Las Vegas Police and an arrest report.

He is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail, jail records show.

A North Las Vegas Police detective was called June 2 to investigate a report of a teacher at the school smoking marijuana with a minor, and that student directed police to a 15-year-old former student who also reportedly had inappropriate contact with Young, according to an arrest report.

The 15-year-old, who is now in high school, told police Young would message him sexual things on Facebook while he was an eighth grader during the 2013-2014 school year, according to the report.

He said the two did not speak during summer 2014, but in February, the high school student received another message from Young with sexual comments, and Young asked if the teen wanted to come to his apartment, police said.

Young picked up the minor in a blue Dodge SUV down the street from the boy's house, and the pair went to his two-bedroom apartment, police said.

The boy told police he used the restroom to wash his hands, and when he asked for a towel, Young put his hand on the boy's genitals outside of his clothing, according to the report.

The teen told police he felt uncomfortable and asked to go home, and Young dropped him off, police said.

He also told police he spoke to Young for months through Facebook and that they exchanged naked pictures, but he didn't have the photos saved to his phone, according to the report.

In an interview with police Friday afternoon, Young denied intentionally touching the boy's genitals but admitted he spoke to the student in a sexual manner and sent him nude photos through Facebook, police said.

He also admitted to taking the teen to his apartment, saying that he asked the boy for a kiss, according to the report.

The teen said he wanted to leave, and Young told police he took him home, the report said.

Young has been employed by the Clark County School District since 2011 and has been suspended without pay since June, district spokeswoman Melinda Malone confirmed.

Malone could not disclose the reason for the suspension, but according to the arrest report, Young said it was because of his interactions with students.

Young told police he knew he needed help because of his actions and that he hadn't spoken to the boy since the day he dropped him off, police said.

He also denied smoking pot with the other student, the report said.

No content on Young's Facebook account searched by police could be deemed child pornography, but Young admitted to deleting the boy's photos, police said.
