Monsoon moisture in the valley has brought a 30 percent chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms today, the National Weather Service reported.
There were a few sprinkles this morning as light rain moved into the southern valley, said John Salmen, NWS meteorologist.
The possibility of rainfall should continue into the evening and through Thursday, with a 20 percent chance of rain in the forecast, he said.
Today's forecast is mostly cloudy with a high of 98 degrees and a low of 82 degrees.
Tomorrow should bring a high of 102 degrees and a low around 79 degrees.
