Updated Friday, Aug. 28, 2015 | 6:26 p.m.

Metro Police are looking for three men they say invaded a southwest valley home this month and shot the victim's dog before robbing the residence.

The men entered the home near South Rainbow Boulevard and Tara Avenue about 1:50 a.m. Aug. 16 and confronted the adult male resident, who was shown in surveillance video on the couch, police said.

One suspect wearing shorts and a T-shirt point a gun at the resident, who gets on the floor, and the suspect then shoots the dog, the video shows.

The dog is fine, Officer Michael Rodriguez said.
