A firefighter was taken to the hospital with a possible twisted ankle and one person was treated for a rapid heart rate after a Henderson house fire this afternoon, according to a fire department spokeswoman.

The Henderson Fire Department responded about 12:30 p.m. to the two-story house on Minuet Street, near Anthem Parkway and Reunion Drive, spokeswoman Kathleen Richards said.

It appears the fire began in the garage but spread to most of the house, she said.

Crews were able to extinguish the fire, and one adult of unknown gender was treated at the scene for a rapid heart rate, she said. A firefighter with a possibly twisted ankle was taken to a local hospital for X-rays, she said.

It was not immediately clear what caused the fire.

The American Red Cross is assisting two adults and two children affected by the fire, the organization said on Twitter.
