Metro Police patrol officer Bryce Jones faces misdemeanor charges of loitering for the purpose of prostitution and soliciting/engaging in prostitution.

A Metro Police officer was arrested in October on prostitution-related counts, according to the police department.

Bryce Jones, 36, was arrested Oct. 11 and taken to the Las Vegas City Jail on counts of loitering for the purpose of prostitution and soliciting/engaging in prostitution, police said in a news release today.

Police were notified in August that Jones was allegedly involved in soliciting prostitution, and he was arrested after an investigation by Metro’s Criminal Intelligence Section, police said.

Police could not immediately provide additional details on the case.

Jones has been a Metro employee since February 2004 and most recently has been part of the Tourist Safety Division of Metro’s Downtown Area Command, police said.

He has been placed on paid administrative leave, police said.
