Pedestrian, 91, killed crossing street in Henderson

A 91-year-old Las Vegas man was hit by a car and killed Monday while crossing Whitney Ranch Drive, according to Henderson Police.

The man, who was crossing the street about 1 p.m. outside of a marked crosswalk just north of Sunset Road, was hit by a southbound car driven by a 49-year-old Henderson woman, police said.

The pedestrian, identified by the Clark County Coroner’s Office as Alberto Ciaglia, was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
