An armed suspect was shot by a police officer at an east valley apartment complex late Monday.
The shooting occurred at about 10 p.m. at the Suites, 4855 Boulder Hwy, near Flamingo Road, Metro Police Lt. Dave Valenta said.
An officer fired one shot at the suspect, who was struck and taken to Sunrise Hospital with injuries not considered to be life-threatening.
No other details were available. Officers are investigating on scene.
