Two more juveniles arrested in home invasion, sexual assault case

Updated Friday, Feb. 13, 2015 | 3:13 p.m.

Two more juveniles have been arrested in connection with a home invasion and sexual assault last month near the Mountain’s Edge community, according to Metro Police.

Three teens already have been arrested in the case, police said.

Because of the ages of the two additional suspects, no additional information will be released unless the court certifies them as adults, police said. They were arrested Wednesday.

On Jan. 19, officers responded to reports of a home invasion, robbery and sexual assault in the 9200 block of Weeping Hollow Avenue, near Blue Diamond Road and El Capitan Way, police said.

As a result of the follow up investigation and working with North Las Vegas Police on a related case, Metro detectives arrested three suspects in connection with the incident, Metro Police said.

Police arrested Qumaire Rainey, 18, Edward London, 17 and Casey Franks, 16, on counts including kidnapping, conspiracy to commit sexual assault, robbery and burglary, authorities said. In addition, Rainey faces a count of sexual assault.

All three are scheduled for preliminary court hearings on Feb. 23. London and Franks have been certified as adults.
