A man who was fatally shot at his southwest valley home early Monday after police say he argued with an acquaintance has been identified by the Clark County Coroner's Officer as 32-year-old Miguel Angel Orozco.

Orozco, a Las Vegas resident, died of a gunshot wound to the left side of his chest in a homicide, the Coroner's Office said.

He was in the garage of his house in the 6400 block of Gunderson Boulevard, near Torrey Pines Drive and Harmon Avenue, when police say 30-year old Julio Rodriguez approached in a vehicle with another man on the passenger's side.

The two argued and Rodriguez displayed a handgun before multiple shots were fired, police said.

Orozco ran from the vehicle but was shot and transported to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Police are looking for Rodriguez, who is described as about 5-feet-11-inches tall and about 170 pounds with brown eyes and close-cropped dark hair.

The vehicle is reportedly a black 1999 Mercedes Benz SUV with large chrome rims, tinted windows and California license plates.

Anyone with information about Rodriguez’s whereabouts can call Metro’s homicide section at 702-828-3521. To remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
