CASPER, Wyo. — Allegiant Air will continue service between Casper and Las Vegas through the summer this year because of increasing demand.

The Casper Star-Tribune reports the airline usually stops flights between the cities during the hot summer months, ending service in August and resuming in November. Last year, the seasonal stoppage was reduced to just five weeks.

Glenn Januska, director of Casper/Natrona County International Airport, credited the change to high demand. Since 2008, 83,000 people have flown Allegiant on the Las Vegas-Casper service.
