An 18-year-old woman with a bicycle was critically injured this morning when she was hit by a vehicle in a crosswalk on Windmill Parkway in Henderson, city officials said.
It appears the driver, headed east on Windmill, didn’t see the woman because of sun glare, city spokeswoman Kathleen Richards said.
The accident happened about 6:45 a.m. at the intersection with Ocotillo Pointe Terrace, east of Green Valley Parkway, Richards said. It was not clear if the teen was riding the bike or was pushing it across the intersection, Richards said.
The teen, who lives nearby, was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with critical head injuries, Richards said.
No additional details were immediately available.
