Body found
Metro Police are investigating the death of a woman found Saturday morning behind a strip mall at Desert Inn Road and Nellis Boulevard.
Just before 6 a.m., someone called police to report a female who appeared to be injured, Metro said. Responders pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
Lt. Ken Romaine said the body was behind Hammerheads Bar & Grill East. Investigators think the woman was behind the business when she was approached by someone and attacked, Metro said.
The death is the second homicide investigated by Metro Police in 2015.
