A woman was shot in the leg late Friday near downtown Las Vegas, Metro Police said.
Police received a report about 8:30 p.m. of the shooting at 2540 Fremont St., near Charleston Boulevard, Lt. Yaz Yatomi said.
The woman, who is 20 to 30 years old, was transported to University Medical Center's Trauma Center with injuries believed to be nonlife-threatening, Yatomi said.
The male suspect fled the scene, she said.
No further description of the suspect was available.
