Fatal shooting

Two people whose bodies were found in the garage of a southwest valley residence Thursday evening died in an apparent murder-suicide, Metro Police said.

Officers responded about 5 p.m. to the house in the 8900 block of Veneroso Street, near Fort Apache and Pebble roads, where the bodies of a male and female were found, police said in a statement.

Las Vegas resident Won Jae Lee, 26, died of gunshot wounds of the head and neck, according to the Clark County Coroner's Office.

Lee's death was ruled a homicide.

The office was unable to immediately release the ID of the woman.

An investigation by Metro indicated Lee and the female, who were dating, got into a physical fight in the house.

The couple moved into the garage, where the female shot Lee before killing herself, police said.

Concerned friends checked up on the couple and later called police, Metro Lt. W. Graham said.

The woman's name, as well as the official cause and manner of her death, will be released by the Coroner's Office once next of kin has been notified.
