The death of a 91-year-old man a week after a November car accident was the result of multiple injuries suffered in the crash, according to a Metro Police report.
Lewis Kaplan of Las Vegas died early Dec. 2 at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center after the crash Nov. 25 at the intersection of East Patrick Lane and South McLeod Drive, police said.
Kaplan was driving a 1995 Lexus SC 400 west on Patrick in the left turn lane about 6:45 a.m. when he failed to yield at a flashing yellow arrow, police said.
He drove into the intersection and collided with a 2008 Toyota Prius that was headed east on Patrick, police said.
The 31-year-old man driving the Prius told police he was not injured.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office has ruled Kaplan’s death an accident.
