Surprise, surprise: Las Vegas is the most free-loving city in the U.S., according to an analysis released Thursday by DatingAdvice.com.

Citing a number of studies, the website found Las Vegans most open to dating outside their comfort zones.

In one study, online dating site Zoosk compared the habits of more than a million of its members. Cities with users more likely to date someone different from themselves in age, height, number of children, religion, body type, smoking habits, drinking habits and education were ranked more free-loving.

Other studies taken into DatingAdvice’s consideration, performed by Trojan and Forbes, compared cities' contraception sales and the number of sex shops.

“This list says a lot of good things about Las Vegas,” said Hayley Matthews, editor-in-chief of DatingAdvice.com. “When people think of Las Vegas, they think of strip clubs and casinos, but this list tells us how open-minded the people of Las Vegas are when dating.”

With Valentine’s Day lurking around the corner, Matthews advises those looking for love in Las Vegas to embrace the city for what it is — a tourist trap full of romantic date options for locals.

“Vegas has great romantic places for dinner and rooftop views as well as sexy shows like 'Zumanity,'” Matthews said. “Places like this set the tone for a good date.”

In the ranking, Las Vegas is followed by New York City, Atlanta, Miami and Denver.
