Clark County Fire Department officials are investigating the cause of a fire this morning at a vacant building near North Jones Boulevard and Gowan Road.

The fire was reported about 7:30 a.m. at 6100 W. Gowan Road. Firefighters found heavy flames coming from the building, Las Vegas Fire & Rescue spokesman Tim Szymanski said. Most of the fire was out within about 20 minutes, he said.

Some power lines were down and traffic was being restricted in the area, Szymanski said.
