Person wounded in leg in shooting at apartment complex

One person was shot in the leg at an apartment complex near Eastern and Sahara avenues today, according to Metro Police.

Officers were called about noon to the complex at 2500 Karen Ave., Officer Laura Meltzer said.

The injured male was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with injuries that did not appear life-threatening, she said.

The age of the victim was not immediately available.

There was no description of two suspects who fled before officers arrived, Meltzer said.
