A person was found dead in an SUV along State Route 147 between Las Vegas and Lake Mead this afternoon, according to Metro Police and Nevada Highway Patrol.
Officials responded about 1:15 p.m. to a desert area near Pabco Road after someone reported to Metro Police that an unresponsive male was in a vehicle, law enforcement officials said.
A body was found in a Chevy Suburban, Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Loy Hixson said.
Metro is investigating the death.
The person’s identity and cause of death will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office after family has been notified.
