2 die in Southern Nevada from triple-digit heat

Officials say two men have died in southern Nevada of causes linked to the excessive summer heat.

KSNV-TV reports that the Clark County coroner's office ruled the death of a 30-year-old Joshua Warren Douglas Davis was natural but linked to heat exposure. Thermometers read triple-digits when the homeless man died Thursday.

Near Lake Mead, 59-year-old Kenneth Van Dusen was found by hikers inside a black Chevrolet Suburban Thursday.

KSNV-TV reports that the coroner ruled Van Dusen suffered a coronary, with secondary causes being environmental heat exposure and atherosclerosis.
