Former UNLV player Rashad Vaughn had 14 points Friday in his professional debut for the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA Summer League at the Cox Pavilion.

Vaughn, who left UNLV after one season and was the 17th overall pick in last month’s draft by the Bucks, missed all four of his 3-point attempts in the Bucks’ 101-89 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans. Vaughn went 5 of 14 on field goals, made each of his four free-throw attempts and had five rebounds in nearly 29 minutes.

The game included three former UNLV players, with former Rebel big man Khem Birch going for six points in six rebounds in 20 minutes for New Orleans. Two of his points came on a dunk via an alley-oop pass from Bryce Dejean-Jones, who left UNLV after the 2013-14 season. Jones, who finished his college career at Iowa State, finished with four points and three assists.

Former Rebel Mike Moser had two points and three rebounds for the Atlanta Hawks in a 86-71 loss to the Denver Nuggets. Roscoe Smith is on the Denver roster, but didn't play.

Also, Christian Wood, who fell out of last month's draft after leaving UNLV with two seasons of eligibility remaining, went 4 of 4 from the field for nine points in 14 minutes in his summer league debut with the Houston Rockets. Wood had four rebounds, but committed five turnovers. Houston beat the D-League all-stars, 111-104.
