Coroner IDs woman shot at North Las Vegas home

A woman police say was shot and killed Monday by her husband after an argument at their North Las Vegas home has been identified as 70-year-old Tsai Mattox, according to the Clark County Coroner’s Office.

The cause of death was a gunshot wound to the chest, the Coroner’s Office said.

North Las Vegas Police responded about 1:30 p.m. Monday to the 2300 block of Plumeria Avenue, near East Lone Mountain and Losee roads, after receiving a call from the victim’s husband, Arthur Mattox, police said.

They found Tsai Mattox with a gunshot wound. She was taken to University Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead, police said.

Arthur Mattox, 78, was taken into custody and booked at the Las Vegas City Jail on a count of murder, police said.
