Police seek suspect in northwest valley bank robbery

This man is sought in a bank robbery that occurred Friday, July 17, 2015, in the northwest Las Vegas Valley.

Metro Police are searching for a man they say robbed a northwest valley bank Friday afternoon.

The man entered the bank near Craig Road and Jones Boulevard about 2:30 p.m. and indicated he had a gun, police said.

He gave the teller a note demanding cash and fled in an older model, green four-door sedan with the money, police said.

Metro did not disclose how much cash was taken.

The suspect was described as a bald black man in his mid 30s, 5-feet-6 to 5-feet-8-inches tall.

He weighs about 300 pounds and was last seen wearing a blue-and-white-striped polo, red cargo shorts and dark sunglasses.
