An accidental ecstasy overdose caused the death of a 24-year-old man at Las Vegas's Electric Daisy Carnival in June, according to the Clark County Coroner's Office.
Nicholas Austin Tom of San Francisco died in the early morning hours of June 21 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, the coroner's office said.
The festival, which attracted about 135,000 people during each of its three nights, saw 1,400 medical calls and 27 incidents in which people were transported to the hospital, officials said.
Officials blamed the triple-digit heat for the spike in people seeking medical care, as it was about 10 degrees warmer compared to 2014.
Last year, three people who came to Las Vegas for the festival died.
