Derrick Andrews arrives in court at the Regional Justice Center Thursday, March 26, 2015. Andrews and Erich Milton Nowsch Jr. face charges related to the fatal Feb. 12 shooting of Tammy Meyers.

A jury trial for two men accused in the shooting death of Las Vegas mother Tammy Meyers after a driving lesson with her daughter has been rescheduled for October.

The trial originally was scheduled for Aug. 10 but has been pushed back to 9:30 a.m. Oct. 19, according to court records.

Prosecutors allege 19-year-old Erich Milton Nowsch fired multiple shots Feb. 12 near the Meyers home, striking Tammy Meyers in the head.

Derrick Andrews, 27, is accused of driving the silver Audi from which Nowsch allegedly fired the shots.

Meyers died after being taken off life support at University Medical Center two days later on Valentine’s Day.

The case, which was initially believed to be a road rage shooting, drew national attention.

Meyers’ daughter told authorities her mother was taking her home after a driving lesson when a car pulled up next to them, Metro Police said.

The daughter said she reached over to honk the horn and the driver stopped in front of Meyers’ vehicle, exiting and confronting the mother of four, according to police.

Brandon Meyers, Meyers’ adult son, told police his mother arrived home and asked him to get in the family’s Buick Park Avenue sedan so they could find the vehicle — a silver car, police said.

The pair found what they believed to be the car, and a passenger in the car fired at Meyers’ vehicle, Brandon Meyers told police.

The mother and son went back home, and Brandon Meyers told police the silver car followed, with someone in the car spraying bullets before fleeing.

Nowsch and Andrews are charged with murder and attempted murder, according to court records. They also each face one charge related to shooting from a vehicle and one count of conspiracy to commit murder.

The men are being held at the Clark County jail without bail.

Friends of Nowsch told police he believed someone was after him and his family, and he told them he “got those kids” who were after him, according to Metro.
