An inmate who escaped Tuesday afternoon while on a state Division of Forestry work crew in the east valley was captured this morning, according to the Nevada Department of Corrections.

Kerran Dade, 21, was taken into custody near Boulder Highway and Nellis Boulevard after a short foot chase, officials said.

Dade was reported missing from the work crew about 2:45 p.m. near U.S. 95 and Wyoming Avenue, officials said.

Dade is serving up to four years for an attempted home invasion and was admitted on May 12 to the Jean Conservation Camp for Women.

She was taken to the Florence McClure Women’s Correctional Center for processing.
