Fire

A fire broke out in the garage of a two-story house in the south valley this afternoon, according to the Clark County Fire Department.

Emergency personnel responded about 12:30 p.m. to the 900 block of Clear Diamond Avenue, near Wigwam Avenue and Pollock Drive, according to the department.

Firefighters on scene saw heavy smoke and flames coming from the garage and evacuated all the people inside the house, the department said.

No injuries were reported.

Crews were able to stop the fire from spreading and extinguish it, but there was smoke damage to the home, the department said. The Clark County Fire Department sent 26 firefighters to the scene.

The cause of the fire and damage estimate were not immediately available.

The American Red Cross of Southern Nevada is providing care to two adults as a result of the fire, the organization said on Twitter.
