Propaganda isn’t GOP’s sole domain

Regarding the letter “Voters shouldn’t believe propaganda” (Las Vegas Sun, June 3):

The letter writer seems to be under the impression that the GOP is the only political party that engages in propaganda. To illustrate this, he engaged in a little of his own propaganda by comparing GOP propaganda to Adolf Hitler’s propaganda machine during WWII. Is he serious? Political propaganda has been going on since political parties have existed, and all parties engage in it. We should all realize that the propaganda will be coming fast and furious as it always does leading to a presidential election. It is up to voters to know for whom they are voting and to make sure they represent their own political positions.
