A man was fatally shot tonight near downtown Las Vegas, according to Metro Police.
Police were called to the area at about 8:25 p.m. near D Street and Washington Avenue, where a man of unknown age was shot, Lt. Michael Mauntel said.
The man was pronounced dead on scene, he said.
No suspects are in custody, and the motive behind the shooting is unknown, Mauntel said.
Homicide detectives are en route, he said.
