Woman flown to hospital after car crashes into ravine

A woman was taken to the hospital by helicopter this morning after a single-car rollover crash on State Route 165 between Boulder City and Searchlight, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

A Chevy Malibu with four people in it ran off the road and landed in a ravine near the Nelson’s Landing turnoff, Trooper Loy Hixson said.

The Highway Patrol was called to the crash about 11 a.m., he said.

A woman, who was conscious, was taken to University Medical Center by helicopter. Her injuries did not appear life threatening, Hixson said. Nobody else was taken to the hospital, he said.
