Juveniles arrested after arson at closed fire station

Fire at closed fire station

Two juveniles were arrested Tuesday after an arson fire did about $100,000 damage at a closed fire station, according to the Clark County Fire Department.

Firefighters responded about 10 p.m. to assist Metro Police with a report of a break-in at the building at 5710 Judson Ave., which is a fire station that is no longer in service, officials said.

Smoke was coming from the roof and firefighters found a blaze that started in the building and spread to the attic, officials said. No injuries were reported.

Fire investigators determined the fire was arson, and two juveniles were arrested at the scene, officials said. Fire officials did not release any additional details about the arrests.
