Bicyclist, 16, hit by car dies at hospital

A 16-year-old bicyclist who was hit by a car last week while crossing Bonanza Road in a crosswalk has died, according to Metro Police.

The boy was crossing east of Prescott Street about 3:30 p.m. Thursday when he was hit by a 2006 Ford Fusion headed east on Bonanza, police said. The boy, who was riding a BMX-style bike, hit the car’s hood and windshield and was thrown onto the road, police said.

He was taken to University Medical Center with critical injuries and died about 11 p.m. Friday, police said.

The Clark County Coroner's Office identified the teen as Tiger Luis Williams of Las Vegas.

The driver of the car, a 24-year-old North Las Vegas man, suffered minor injuries, police said.

The incident remains under investigation.
