The 24-year-old man who died early Sunday at an electronic dance music festival in Las Vegas has been identified.

The Clark County Coroner's office said Wednesday that Nicholas Austin Tom of San Francisco was pronounced dead at 3:25 a.m. Sunday at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway during the Electric Daisy Carnival.

The cause of his death is still pending toxicology reports, which authorities have said that could take a month or two.

About 135,000 dance music fans attended the Electric Daisy Carnival each night last weekend, which saw 1,400 medical calls and 27 incidents of people taken to the hospital.

Officials blamed the triple-digit heat for the spike in people seeking medical care, as it was about 10 degrees warmer at this year's event compared to 2014.
