Firefighters prevent blaze at commercial building from spreading

A fire broke out at a commercial building near Eastern Avenue and Flamingo Road this morning, according to the Clark County Fire Department.

Firefighters responded about 8 a.m. to the blaze in the single-story building in the 4300 block of Eastern Avenue, officials said. They found a fire in one room and were able to put it out and prevent it from spreading, officials said.

The extent of the damage has not been determined, and the cause of the fire is under investigation, officials said.
