2 injured when dump truck, car collide

Two people were seriously injured this morning in collision between a dump truck and a car, according to Nevada Highway Patrol.

The crash happened about 9:40 a.m. near the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and Cactus Avenue, according to Trooper Chelsea Stuenkel.

The dump truck driver was not injured, but two men in the Honda sedan were taken to University Medical Center with serious injuries, Stuenkel said.

The crash is under investigation.
