Police, coroner no longer investigating fetuses found in laundry

The police and coroner's office have ended their investigations after two dead babies were discovered by laundry facility workers cleaning hospital linens in Las Vegas.

A Spring Valley Hospital spokeswoman said the fetuses were from a miscarriage. Officials say a woman about 16 weeks into her pregnancy arrived by ambulance with the dead twins already wrapped in linens.

But workers at the medical laundry company Angelica in nearby Henderson called police Tuesday morning after the grisly discovery. The company could not be reached for comment Wednesday morning.

Henderson police and the Clark County coroner's office said Wednesday morning that they were no longer investigating.

Police spokeswoman Kathleen Richards said the case was closed because it is not considered suspicious.

The coroner's office said it declined to investigate further.
